Calvin Klein billboard, Is it too much?
It seems there is a big uproar over the billboard. I don’t read all of that into the picture, of course, I’m not a prude either. I believe the human body is awesome. This picture does not show any genitalia. The persons in it are of age. My biggest thought is how the USA became so prudish. I’m surprised we don’t make women cover their faces. You never know when a hormonal teen will see a womans face and be driven to senseless pornographic materials and sex crimes. One can only hope that if one of the prudes visits other countries that have clothing optional areas, they don’t have a myocardial infarction. I think this country needs to worry more about the country approaching bankruptcy from out of control spending, war with other nations and how our kids are sexting and having sex because the abstinence program isn’t working. We need to give our kids a little more credit and actually educate them (girls at age 9 or 10, boys at 11 or 12) when entering puberty and actually explain the birds and the bees completely, actual sex education, and maybe they will at least know they can become a mother or father at an early age and explain all options from abstinence to precautions to STD’s. I don’t think kids are going to run out and get into a threesome by looking at a billboard. They can see sexual clothing ads in any teen mag, why aren’t we bitching about those? Give me a break. Worry more about the economy, war, politicians, etc. Comments, please.
